In this role, you'll be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. Your expertise will help us maintain safety standards, optimize inventory management, and support seamless shipping and receiving operations. Duties Safely operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using specialized equipment such as pickers and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) entries to track inventory movements and maintain precise stock levels. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklifts and other heavy machinery are in optimal condition, adhering to OSHA safety standards. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders with proper documentation. Handle materials with care during heavy lifting tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate distribution activities and improve overall warehouse efficiency. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting minor issues on heavy machinery. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts, measurements, and order specifications. Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, including proper loading & unloading techniques. Excellent materials handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and safe operation of equipment in a distribution environment.
