Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (occasional weekend hours once per month)

Temporary-to-Hire Position Summary We are seeking a Shipping Operator to support a 24/7/365 plastic extrusion operation in Reno. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity. At the conclusion of the trial period, the contractor must apply for the permanent role and successfully interview to be considered for hire. Overtime is paid at time and one-half for hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Key Responsibilities Consistently contribute to a strong safety-first culture Read and interpret pick tickets to identify correct products Safely load pipe onto outbound trucks Safely unload inbound trucks and properly stage materials in the yard Verify correct products are loaded and follow FIFO inventory practices Repackage products as needed (cut dunnage, reapply banding) Assist with yard maintenance and general upkeep Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet operational goals Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED (mandatory) Ability to work safely and comply with all plant safety requirements Minimum 2 years of diesel and propane forklift operation experience Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure Strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications 5 years of diesel and propane forklift experience Shipping and receiving experience in an outdoor yard environment Experience loading and unloading flatbeds and containers Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Additional Information This is a safety-sensitive position and requires successful completion of pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
