Job Description

McIntosh Box and Pallet is hiring a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in Fredonia, NY! We are seeking a technically skilled and experienced individual with strong attention to detail to join our team in Fredonia, NY as a Forklift Operator.
Pay:
$19/hour, based on experience As a Forklift Operator , you will be responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility while operating a forklift with efficiency and care. This role plays an important part in ensuring materials and products are in the proper locations to support production goals and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, safety-focused, and works well as part of a team.
Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently Put inventory away in designated storage locations Maintain accurate inventory and activity records Transport materials to various locations throughout the facility Secure loads before transport to ensure safety Inspect forklifts and equipment for damage or maintenance concerns Follow operating procedures and maintain required documentation Complete assignments accurately, safely, and according to production schedules Operate and manage equipment safely and effectively Exchange propane tanks as needed Restack lumber when piles become displaced or require adjustment Assist team members in the yard and production areas as needed Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned Follow company policies and safety procedures while identifying workplace hazards Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Requirements:
Forklift experience preferred Forklift certification preferred (if applicable) Mathematical aptitude Good organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic High degree of attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements:
