Temporary Pay Range:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience) Imperial Pools Distribution is hiring a Seasonal Shipping & Forklift Operator to join our team at our Latham, NY warehouse. This is a shipping-focused role with a heavy forklift component (approximately 70% forklift operation, 30% general warehouse work) supporting outbound deliveries, inbound freight, and order fulfillment during our peak season. Responsibilities Operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts to load delivery trucks and stage outbound orders for shipment Unloading inbound freight from common carriers and transfer trucks; verifying accuracy against packing slips and BOLs Coordinating with carriers on inbound and outbound freight Pulling orders from both the yard and internal warehouse off pick tickets using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks Packaging, labeling, and shrink-wrapping skids prior to shipment Sorting, organizing, and putting away product in correct bin locations to maintain accurate inventory Verifying accuracy of inbound freight and outbound orders Assisting customers with loading orders into personal vehicles when needed Reporting damaged or missing items immediately Performing daily safety inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment; reporting concerns to the supervisor Performing routine inventory checks and cycle counts Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including warehouse floors and shipping areas Position Requirements 1-3 years of forklift experience operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts Current forklift certification preferred; in-house re-certification available for candidates with expired credentials Reliable transportation to the Latham, NY branch Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift (two 15-minute breaks and a half-hour lunch daily) Proficient with computers; ability to ship and receive in our point-of-sale system (training provided) Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and complete tasks as assigned by the warehouse manager Willingness to take on varied tasks throughout the day as needs change Benefits 13 paid holidays Accrued personal time off Paid training Supportive, fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
