In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and organizing shipments using various types of forklifts and materials handling equipment. Your keen attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity will ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain the integrity of our warehouse operations. Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift to load and unload shipments with precision in a food manufacturing facility Properly complete shift paperwork and stage ingredients for production Manage inbound and outbound shipments by accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting goods Conduct routine equipment inspections and notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal operation of heavy equipment. Assist in warehouse distribution tasks such as stacking pallets, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to coordinate materials handling activities and optimize space utilization within the warehouse. Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Prior experience working in a food manufacturing facility and have knowledge of GMP's, FIFO, etc. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse distribution environment is highly preferred. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently during the third shift schedule. Join us in this energetic role where your skills make a tangible impact!
