Forklift Operator - Weekday Dayshift Northern Gold Foods Ltd. - 2.8 Eugene, OR Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Lifting equipment English Forklift Inspection reporting and documentation Driving Physical inventory counts for inventory management Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Stay comfortable at Northern Gold Foods!! We are a climate-controlled facility. This position is Tuesday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM The Forklift Operator is responsible for the movement of product into, within and out of our production facility. Candidates for this position must be able to maintain accurate and appropriate inventory records and documentation. They must also be able to operate and drive a forklift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Compile daily open orders Schedule and staging helper Complete schedule board for outbound trucks Review production and report issues to crew to adjust for the days shipping Inspect trailers and confirm that a truck inspection report has been completed Fill out all paperwork as related to the shipment Enter shipment information into our systems and print Bills of Lading Advise maintenance and management of needed repairs as noted Participate in month-end inventory Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Safety Guidelines
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to read, write, and speak English Ability to work with others in a team environment Ability to meet the requirements of forklift certifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Climbing stairs and ladders Lifting up to 50 lbs up to 72" in height Lifting up to 100 lbs in total weight Bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, gripping, and standing for long periods of time Good vision (20/15 corrected or better) to perform visual product inspections Good sense of hearing, smell, and taste.
WORK CONDITIONS
Exposure to allergens such as grain and/or dust Varying temperatures Exposure to cleaning odors as well as insect sprays
