Warehouse & Forklift Worker The FISH of Roseburg Position Summary The Warehouse & Forklift Worker plays an important role in helping The FISH of Roseburg provide food to our community with dignity and efficiency. This position is responsible for helping maintain an organized warehouse, picking up food orders and donations, stocking pantry items, and ensuring the pantry has enough food available for open hours and community programs. This position works closely with staff, volunteers, community partners, and food donors to help keep daily pantry operations running smoothly. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Inventory Support Maintain organization and cleanliness of the food warehouse and storage areas Assist with stocking shelves, sorting food, and rotating inventory Help monitor pantry inventory levels to ensure adequate food supply during pantry hours Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing incoming donations Ensure food safety and proper storage procedures are followed Food Pickups & Transportation Pick up food orders and donations from local stores, partners, and community organizations Safely load and unload food and supplies Operate organization vehicles in a safe and professional manner Maintain accurate pickup and delivery records as needed Forklift & Equipment Operation Operate forklift and pallet jacks safely when moving pallets and large food deliveries Assist with warehouse equipment maintenance and safety checks Forklift certification preferred, but training may be provided for the right candidate Team & Community Support Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers Assist with pantry setup and breakdown during open hours as needed Help create a welcoming and efficient environment for volunteers and community partners Support additional warehouse and pantry tasks as assigned Qualifications Valid driver's license required Clean driving record required Ability to safely lift and move boxes and food items regularly Forklift certification preferred, but willingness to train the right person Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Reliable, flexible, and community-minded Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Standing, bending, reaching, and moving throughout shifts Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor conditions during pickups and deliveries Preferred Qualities Experience in warehouse operations, food service, logistics, or inventory management Experience working with volunteers or nonprofit organizations Positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed Passion for community service and helping neighbors in need Schedule Part-time . Schedule may include pantry days, donation pickups, and occasional special events.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
