In Person About the Position We are seeking a dependable Yard Forklift Operator to join our team at a busy building materials yard in Pawleys Island, SC. This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift, loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and supporting daily yard operations. This is an outdoor position that requires working in varying weather conditions while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift in an outdoor yard environment. Load and unload building materials from delivery trucks and customer vehicles. Move, stack, organize, and stage materials throughout the yard. Pull orders and prepare materials for customer pickup or delivery. Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies as needed. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with inventory organization and general yard duties. Collaborate with team members to support daily operational needs. Qualifications Previous forklift operating experience required. Experience working in a lumber yard, building materials environment, warehouse, construction supply facility, or similar setting preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials as required by the position. Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and organization. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
