Forklift Operator

MM Technics - Prosperity, SC MM Technics LP is German based, tier one supplier to the automotive OEM's in South Carolina. The Prosperity plant joins a corporate family that has manufacturing operations in Germany and Poland. MM Technics is looking to hire a qualified candidate for our Material Handling position.

Position Snapshot:

Under minimal supervision, maintains flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing facility. Continuously interacts with production, planning, inventory management, purchasing, and shipping. Participates in cycle count activities and physical inventories.

Responsibilities:

• Document damaged freight and assist with the claims process.
• Shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory management tasks, requiring a high attention to detail.
• Administer movement of incoming and outgoing materials throughout the facility.
• Serve as a liaison and expeditor between departments to resolve issues in a timely manner. Perform expeditor duties on orders that are late or tracking late as needed to support goals.
• Monitor and track materials requests to prioritize and administer movement at the right times.
• Maintain adequate inventory for shipping department materials. Review shipping schedule frequently and order materials as needed according to lead-times so that stock-out conditions never occur.
• Maintain accuracy in rack and bin locations including labeling.
• Participate in cycle counts. Analyze, root cause, and verify cycle count discrepancies and make needed corrections to achieve inventory accuracy in counts.
• Perform audits for inventory transactions. Participate in physical inventory activities.
• Be available for flexible hours and over-time as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by plant management.

Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) year inventory, materials, or warehouse experienced, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to stay focused and complete tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision
• The ability to be proactive and take action without being asked, looking for opportunities to make a difference
• The ability to adapt to new/difficult situations
• The ability to safely operate pallet jack, forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to load/unload trailers using all overhead cranes and mobile equipment required
• The ability to organize work flow and focus attention on detailed requirements and tasks
• Competent computer skills
• Ability to comply with all facility safety and environmental rules
• SAP preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position will require frequent standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 40 pounds. There will be occasional sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and working overhead. Occasional pushing/pulling of a moving cart and moving/lifting equipment.
