Job Description

Position Overview Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join their team in Spartanburg, SC. This position is responsible for safely moving, storing, and loading materials within a food-grade warehouse environment while maintaining strict safety, quality, and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will have previous sit-down forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse operation. This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential. Responsibilities Safely operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed. Load and unload trucks, trailers, pallets, and containers. Transport products and materials throughout the warehouse while following all safety procedures. Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage and report discrepancies. Accurately stage, stack, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations. Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities. Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with food-grade facility standards. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP requirements, and food safety procedures. Work closely with warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations and timely order fulfillment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Previous sit-down forklift experience required. Experience operating warehouse equipment in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment. Food-grade, FDA-regulated, or GMP warehouse experience preferred. Experience handling metals, wood, paper products, or other industrial materials is a plus. Basic inventory and warehouse documentation experience. Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and OSHA regulations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
