This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing materials, and supporting shipping and receiving operations to ensure smooth warehouse functionality. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse distribution, order picking, and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Duties Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials according to safety standards Manage inventory by organizing materials in designated areas and maintaining accurate records Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch or storage Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues Follow OSHA guidelines and safety protocols during all operations to maintain a safe work environment Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or materials handling Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with clamp truck, and other heavy equipment preferred Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) and stand for extended periods during shifts Warehouse or construction experience highly desirable; previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus Valid driver's license preferred for driving company vehicles or operating certain equipment on-site
