1st Shift (Heavy‑Duty) Forklift Operator ($22/hr)

Full‑Time Key Responsibilities Operate heavy‑duty forklifts to move large and bulky materials Load and unload large parts from trucks, trailers, and production areas Stage materials for production and shipping Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs Maintain a clean, safe work area following OSHA guidelines Requirements Forklift experience operating large or heavy‑capacity lift trucks Ability to safely handle oversized or heavy components Strong awareness of safety, load balance, and equipment limits Reliable attendance and ability to work 1st shift Ability to lift 50+ lbs as needed Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a temperature-controlled manufacturing and warehouse environment with minimal exposure to risks beyond those typically found in standard manufacturing operations. The standard schedule runs from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of working up to 45-50 hours per week, and overtime generally occurring earlier in the day. Work is performed around laser machinery, assembly stations, and warehouse storage areas, with regular use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and basic measuring tools. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and consistent first-shift operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
