Duties for this position include:
Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to move raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods Load and unload trailers while staging materials for production and shipping Supply production areas with materials to prevent downtime Transport hazardous materials safely according to company policy Perform material transactions using scanners and inventory systems Verify part numbers, quantities, and lot codes for accuracy Support cycle counts and inventory audits Store materials in designated warehouse locations Coordinate with production, shipping, and quality departments Deliver and remove components between molding, chroming, painting, and assembly departments Assist with packaging and palletizing finished goods Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report equipment issues Maintain clean and damage-free equipment Monitor battery charging and fuel levels on assigned equipment Follow OSHA and company safety regulations at all times Participate in safety training and certification updates Compensation (USD): $16.50/hour Schedule:
Monday - Friday 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. Some Saturdays as required Successful candidates must meet the following requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Valid Forklift Operator Certification required 1-2 years of forklift driving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred Automotive manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge of safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals preferred Basic math and computer/data entry skills required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and operate equipment for extended periods Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow safety procedures and company guidelines WHY APPLY FOR A JOB AT METRO SERVICES?
