Warehouse Associate Job Description The Warehouse Associate supports a busy distribution hub by receiving inventory from a larger distribution center, organizing and storing products in the local warehouse, and accurately picking, packing, and shipping orders to local customers. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely delivery of products. Responsibilities Receive incoming product from the larger distribution center and verify accuracy against documentation. Unload shipments safely and move products to designated storage areas within the warehouse. Place received inventory into the correct stock locations, shelves, or bins to maintain organized local storage. Pick products accurately from inventory to fulfill local customer orders. Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment according to established procedures. Process outgoing shipments and ensure orders are ready for on-time delivery to local clients. Perform general labor tasks to support overall warehouse operations as needed. Assist with inventory control by keeping stock areas organized and helping identify discrepancies. Load and unload materials from trucks or other vehicles using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when required. Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support daily warehouse schedules. Essential Skills Experience with receiving, picking, packing, and shipping products in a warehouse environment. Hands-on experience with inventory handling and basic inventory control practices. Ability to perform general labor tasks, including loading and unloading materials. Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a distribution or warehouse setting. Forklift experience and ability to safely operate a forklift when needed. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and packing. Reliable attendance and strong timeliness to consistently meet scheduled work hours. Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse distribution hub or similar environment. Familiarity with organizing warehouse inventory on shelves, racks, or bins. Comfort working in a small team environment with close coordination among coworkers. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including a 1-hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks. Work takes place in a typical warehouse setting that involves standing, walking, lifting, and handling inventory throughout the day. Equipment used may include forklifts and other standard warehouse tools for loading, unloading, and moving stock. The environment supports collaboration among a small team while focusing on efficient, accurate handling of inventory and orders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
