Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling will ensure smooth operations and timely shipments. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, crane equipment, and other heavy machinery to load and unload shipments. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound goods against documentation. Perform heavy lifting tasks and handle materials efficiently using pallet jacks and other equipment. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and mechanical safety protocols. Support warehouse management in inventory control, order picking, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and improve operational workflows. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields. Valid forklift certification with demonstrated heavy equipment operation skills. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate inventory tracking. Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience operating cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery in construction or warehouse settings. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load/unload tasks.
