Shift Description:
Job Summary:
The Sit-Down Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, stack, and transport materials throughout the warehouse or production facility. This position supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers. Transport materials to designated storage or production areas. Move pallets, products, and materials throughout the warehouse. Perform shipping and receiving duties as needed. Conduct routine forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues. Maintain accurate inventory by following company procedures. Ensure products are stored properly and securely. Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines. Keep work areas clean and organized. Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous sit-down forklift experience preferred. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment. Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory processes is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required. Strong attention to detail and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Work Environment:
Warehouse and distribution center environment. May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
