Full-Time Position Overview Texas Steel Supply is looking for a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join our team. This role is critical to daily operations and requires someone who is confident operating forklifts, handling steel materials, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload steel materials Load customer and delivery trucks accurately and safely Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in the yard/warehouse Operate machinery related to steel processing (saws, shears, etc. — if applicable) Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance needs Follow all safety procedures and company policies Work with team members to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts (required) Comfortable handling heavy steel materials in a fast-paced environment Ability to load/unload trucks efficiently and safely Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Prior experience in steel, construction, or industrial environments is a plus Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience with metal/steel processing equipment Basic knowledge of inventory handling and material organization What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Opportunities for growth within the company Stable, full-time work Supportive team environment
