Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this role, you'll be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe, organized, and productive environment where safety standards are prioritized and teamwork thrives. Duties Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Perform order picking using designated equipment such as pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) entries to track inventory movement and stock levels Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Support shipping and receiving operations by accurately loading and unloading shipments, verifying quantities, and inspecting for damages Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by properly storing materials on pallets or racks using appropriate handling techniques Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety procedures, and enhance overall distribution efficiency Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor repairs or troubleshooting on equipment when necessary Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation, materials handling, and warehouse safety protocols Previous experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly preferred Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required Join us in delivering excellence through safe operations and efficient logistics!
