Position Summary Fox Packaging is seeking a reliable and safety-focused individual(s) to support the Materials Department. This position is responsible for collaborating with the team to perform routine manual tasks in the warehouse, including material picking, distribution, and staging in the manufacturing area. Essential Functions Convey materials from designated staging locations in the warehouse to incoming inspection. Follows instructions to fill Job Order material requirements for the Production lines. Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, manual pallet jacks and motorized pallet jacks. Receive, verify and document shipments of material according to dock procedures. (Only when instructed by the Supervisor). Verify inbound and outbound materials distribution within the scope of the production processes. Following proper handling procedure of the goods. Verifying BOM material with Traveler form ensuring picking accuracy. Filling out department forms to maintain accurate inventories in accordance with procedures. Assist in unloading wooden pallet shipments incoming and outgoing from the supplier. Utilize forklift equipment to store away and maintain child rolls within the designated area immediately after the slitting process. Distribute raw material such as, wicket pins cardboard, rubber washers, headers to the productions lines as needed. Maintain the child roll area clean and organized, labels out visible from the racks, no material on the floor. Maintain the lip film area clean and organized by size. Using the FIFO system and using inventory for picking. Accountabilities and Performance Measures Be a highly organized self-starter that thrives in a growing and changing team environment. Proficient with specialized technologies. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills including electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet. Three-to-Five-year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Requires experience with learning management systems and training methodologiesNecessary Skills Required:
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Minimum of four (4) year experience with computerized inventory systems and production order processing software. Understanding and utilizing leadership principles to motivate and develop the team to operate as a cohesive department. Being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Being reliable, dependable, respectful, responsible, and fulfilling obligations. The employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and peripheral vision.WORK SCHEDULES/HOURS
Normal work week is 40 hours. Fox Packaging can change the shift schedule or request to rotate schedule based on Fox Packaging needs. Fox Packaging may require work on weekends, mandatory or voluntary overtime and might require occasional travel (up to 20%) by land and/or air.
