This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility. The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in supporting production, inventory accuracy, and shipping operations by ensuring materials are delivered where they are needed, when they are needed. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers in accordance with company safety procedures. Transport raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods to designated locations. Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production lines based on work orders and production schedules. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies as needed. Maintain accurate inventory transactions using barcode scanners, handheld devices, or inventory management systems. Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and organized within the warehouse. Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities. Inspect forklifts and equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation practices. Maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Collaborate with production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams to support daily operational goals. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. Experience with inventory management systems, handheld scanners, or warehouse management software. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience supporting shipping, receiving, or production operations.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
