Forklift Operator

• Job Overview:

• We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a distribution center or warehouse environment.

• Duties:

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries
• Move goods to and from storage areas, production lines, loading docks, and delivery vehicles
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure safe operations
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse environment
• Utilize heavy equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers as needed
• Perform basic math functions to verify inventory accuracy

• Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a distribution center or warehouse setting
• Valid certification to operate forklifts (Hi-Lo, lift truck, reach truck)
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with the equipment
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks requiring strength and endurance
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation in an industrial environment
• Proficiency in using order pickers and reach trucks is a plus
