In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations while safely operating various heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure timely delivery and distribution of products. Your energetic approach will help streamline inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving processes. Duties Operate a variety of heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, tracking with RF scanners, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure optimal stock levels. Assist in shipping & receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders via AS400 or other systems, and ensuring proper packaging for safe transport. Conduct stock replenishment, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment tasks with attention to detail to meet customer demands efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by stocking supplies properly and adhering to OSHA safety standards. Use heavy equipment operation skills for materials handling during manufacturing or construction-related projects when required. Support warehouse supervision by participating in inventory audits, reporting discrepancies, and helping implement warehouse distribution strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations including stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory management. Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and materials handling equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for heavy lifting and mechanical operation. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role within a warehouse setting is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring physical stamina.
