Job Description
To provide support, reliability and accuracy in the delivery of and distribution of raw materials from AJ vendors and AJ Trucks into each plant. This position is Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm, with Fridays as needed.
Job Duties:
- Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, dolly
- Complete the Forklift Operator Daily Checklist
- Visually inspect material for any handling damage
- General knowledge of material specifics for identification and differentiation
- Move material to storage locations
- Delivery and distribution of commonly shared items
- Move material per inventory transfer as needed
- Keep work area clean
- Fill vertical and horizontal extrusion racks with supplies
- Move and stack large buggies of extrusion
- Pull glass per work order and stage for production
- Perform assembly/production duties as needed
Physical Demands:
- While performing the job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, use hands to lift, carry and stack material
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands, arms and to bend at waist
- Frequently, employees must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. up to 50 feet
- Occasionally operator must be able to climb up and down forklifts
- Must be able to pass forklift certification
