2nd Shift Forklift Driver Eau Claire Co Op Oil Co 4970 Kane Road, Eau Claire, WI 54703 $20.00 - $23.50 an hour - Full-time $20.00 - $23.50 an hour - Full-time Position Summary The 2nd Shift Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting the blending, packaging, warehousing, and distribution of fertilizer and ice melt products. This position helps keep product moving efficiently by safely operating equipment, loading trailers, organizing inventory flow, and communicating with multiple departments to support production goals. This position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and assists with additional duties as needed to support daily operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Operate the forklift safely and efficiently throughout the shift Fill propane tanks and complete daily mobile equipment inspections/checklists Understand production orders, SKUs, pallets, and partial pallets Load and unload pallets from trailers Match trailers with correct products and ensure proper product destinations Perform quality checks while transporting product Interact with conveyor systems using HMI controls Understand conveyor components, including photo eyes and turntables Clean forklift and assigned work areas daily Assist with weekly conveyor system cleaning Communicate effectively with drivers, production staff, Distribution Center team members, West Terminal, and Warehouse Forklift Operators Work Relationships & Scope This position works closely with the Shift Supervisor, Yard Horse Operator, Production Team, Distribution Center team members, West Terminal staff, and Warehouse Forklift Operators to ensure smooth and accurate product flow. Performance Expectations Successful employees in this role will: Interact with coworkers in a positive and professional manner Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Promote teamwork and collaboration Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and dependable attendance Maintain quality, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness in daily work Continue developing skills and learning new job duties Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments QualificationsEducation & Training High School Diploma or equivalent required Additional technical training or certification preferred Experience Previous warehouse, distribution center, or forklift experience preferred Experience with labor-intensive work environments helpful Skills & Abilities Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Self-motivated with strong attention to detail Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and departments Work Conditions Work performed primarily at the Eau Claire Cooperative Oil Co. Distribution Center Duties at additional company locations may be assigned as needed Average work week is approximately 42.5 hours Physical Requirements Ability to sit on a forklift for extended periods of time Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 60 pounds Equipment Used Forklifts Brooms and shovels Safety knives Conveyor systems and HMI controls Schedule Evening Shift 10-Hour Shifts Full-Time Position Operate forklifts and support the safe, efficient movement of fertilizer and ice melt products throughout the warehouse and distribution process. This position assists with loading trailers, managing product flow, performing quality checks, operating conveyor systems, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment while working closely with production and warehouse teams.
