Stand-up/Sit-down Forklift Operator Confidential - 3.2 Madison, WI Job Details Contract $22 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Personal protective equipment (PPE) use Basic math Forklift Attention to detail Materials handling Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Summary Complete Quality is seeking a dedicated and experienced Stand-up/Sit-down Forklift Operators to provide contract-based warehouse support services. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, stand-up, sit-down equipment, to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure safe handling of goods, accurate order picking, and smooth warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to maintaining OSHA safety standards.
Compensation:
Approx. $22.00 hourly| Paid weekly via 1099
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 6-7AM start time (8- hour shift), plus OT as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments Maintain accurate inventory counts through proper loading, unloading, and storage procedures Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance Assist with shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch Support warehouse management system (WMS) data entry for inventory tracking Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily distribution activities Implement heavy lifting techniques in accordance with OSHA regulations to prevent injuries Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy equipment operation and materials handling
Skills:
Proven experience operating forklifts such as stand-up, reach trucks, and sit-down. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including order picking and shipping & receiving Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors

Must clear background check and drug screening Steel toe boots/shoes and safety vest
