Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials throughout the facility, staging inventory, and assisting with shipping and receiving activities. This role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently. Load and unload trucks according to shipping and receiving schedules. Transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. Stage materials for storage, processing, and outbound shipments. Assist with receiving, shipping, and inventory storage activities. Verify proper documentation before loading or unloading trucks. Secure and lock out trailers prior to loading and unloading operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support operations. Qualifications Previous sit-down forklift operating experience preferred. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must consistently wear required PPE, including safety glasses, safety vest, hard hat, and safety footwear. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
