Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment to move and store material.
• Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment. -Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Safely move materials, equipment or supplies around the facility on a forklift in a timely manner.
• Assist with emptying trash in Shop area.
• Communicate with others to coordinate material handling or movement.

Job Requirements:

Must have prior manufacturing material handling experience. Overhead crane experience preferred. Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things. General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as walking, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and handling materials. Documenting/Recording Information — Recording/maintaining information in written or electronic format. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to operate controls. The employee is regularly required to sit, squat, stand, walk, and climb. Performs repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and upper body while loading and unloading shipped goods. Required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders on an ongoing basis. Lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
