Forklift Driver (Open)Job Description:
ROLE OVERVIEW
Utility position: Employee will be responsible for assisting machine operators in producing products safely and efficiently, ensuring product quality and packaging requirements meet customer specification, running with minimal process issues, assist in achieving OEE goals, and helping to maintain the integrity of process equipment. 2ndShift Monday-Thursday:
1:40pm-11:40pm Key Responsibilities- Operate rack and saw in safe and efficient manner
- Responsible for keeping production areas and other defined areas clean and organized
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure and caliper
- Must be able to work at least 8 hour work days 10 hours for 2nd shift
- Following all plant safety rules, wearing proper PPE at all times
- Must be able to solve problems under pressure
- Continue to look for ways to reduce downtime
- Work overtime as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure all products meet the customer and product requirements.
- Ensure packaging of finished goods per customer specification.
- Accurately fill out production reports on a daily basis.
- Be able to read engineering sheets, and make suggestions for improvement.
- Perform regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of winder using safe practices and procedures, including Lock-Out / Tag-Out
- Fill in on other machines such as but not limited to, the recut area. Education and Experience
- Must have High School education or GED equivalent Knowledge and Skills
- Must have analytical skills to solve problems
- Customer focused; positive attitude
- Attention to detail and numbers oriented to ensure quality
- Well-organized and exercise sound judgment in decision making
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
