Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Forklift Operator on the first shift in our cold storage facility! This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about efficient materials handling. As a key player in our warehouse operations, you will operate heavy equipment, manage order picking, and ensure the smooth flow of goods through shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe, organized, and productive cold storage environment, supporting our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Conduct accurate order picking using RF scanners and pick systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation Load and unload materials with heavy lifting techniques while adhering to OSHA safety standards Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and storing products in cold storage areas Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety protocols, and equipment inspections to promote a secure work environment Support warehouse management system updates for inventory control and order tracking Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar environment with familiarity in order picking and shipping & receiving processes Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse machinery maintenance Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while following safety guidelines Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and materials handling tools Prior warehouse supervisor or leadership experience is a plus but not required Construction or industrial background is advantageous for understanding mechanical systems and safety procedures Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to operational excellence!
