Warehouse Operations Reports To:
Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager Position Summary The Warehouse, Forklift, Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory control of materials and finished goods. This position operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move products throughout the warehouse while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring timely shipments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow all company safety procedures and policies. Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned. Forklift Operations Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment. Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs. Transport raw materials, packaging, and finished goods throughout the facility. Ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent damage. Shipping & Receiving Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies. Prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements. Generate shipping documents, labels, and bills of lading. Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries. Maintain shipping and receiving records. Inventory Control Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts. Maintain accurate inventory records in the company inventory system. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages. Ensure proper product identification and stock rotation (FIFO when applicable). Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions. Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and warehouse traffic. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable.
