Job Description

Overview Meals on Wheels Solano County (MOWSC) seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Development Assistant to support the organization's fundraising operations, donor stewardship, and development systems management. Under the supervision of the Development Manager, this position serves as the primary coordinator for donor database management, gift processing, donor acknowledgment systems, stewardship tracking, reporting, and development operations support. Duties Donor Database & Gift Management Manage and maintain the organization's donor CRM/database (Bloomerang) ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity Process and record monetary, in-kind, matching, and online donations in a timely manner Maintain donor records, constituent information, campaign coding, and communication tracking Conduct ongoing database cleanup, audits, and quality control efforts Coordinate donor acknowledgment processes including tax receipts, thank-you letters, and stewardship communications Track recurring gifts, pledges, matching gifts, and employee giving contributions Assist with donation reconciliation and reporting in collaboration with Finance Donor Stewardship & Development Operations Support donor stewardship initiatives and engagement efforts throughout the donor lifecycle Assist with the preparation and coordination of stewardship mailings, appeals, newsletters, and fundraising communications Maintain accurate records of sponsorships, outreach contacts, and donor engagement activities Support campaign tracking and reporting for fundraising initiatives and special events Assist with prospect research, donor segmentation, and donor giving analysis Prepare donor lists, reports, mailing exports, and fundraising metrics Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in nonprofit administration, development operations, database management, or related field Experience with donor databases or CRM systems preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive donor information Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital platforms Passion for MOWSC's mission and community impact Work Environment & Schedule This position requires availability outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support organizational events, meetings, and community engagement activities as needed.
