This is a hands-on, high-ownership role responsible for driving revenue growth through individual giving, sponsorships, grants, and new funding opportunities. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and excited to take initiative in building and strengthening BCC's development function. This role is well-suited for someone looking to step into a leadership position, take ownership of fundraising strategy and execution, and grow with the organization . Key ResponsibilitiesIndividual Giving & Donor Cultivation Re-engage and grow BCC's existing donor base Identify, cultivate, and steward individual donors and major gifts Support and expand annual giving efforts Community Sponsorships & Partnerships Build relationships with local businesses and community partners Secure sponsorships for programs, events, and studios Develop new partnership opportunities Grants & Institutional Funding Research, write, and submit grant proposals Manage grant timelines, reporting, and compliance Build a pipeline of recurring and new funding opportunities New Funding Initiatives Identify and pursue new revenue streams, including major donors and emerging funding sources Develop compelling cases for support Contribute ideas and take initiative in expanding fundraising efforts Development Strategy & Execution Work toward clear fundraising goals in alignment with organizational needs Track progress and contribute to development planning Collaborate with leadership and the Board while maintaining ownership of day-to-day work Qualifications Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or a related field Strong writing skills, particularly for grants and donor communications Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Highly self-directed with the ability to take initiative and follow through Organized and able to manage multiple projects Interest in arts, craft, education, or community programming is a plus Position Details Part-Time (approximately 20-25 hours per week ) In-person in Brookfield, CT Flexible schedule Compensation & Growth $24-$26/hour , based on experience Opportunities for performance-based incentives tied to fundraising success Strong potential for this role to grow into a full-time position as development goals are met About Brookfield Craft Center Brookfield Craft Center is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional and contemporary craft. Pay:
