Director of Donor and Community Engagement DEPARTMENT

Chief Executive Officer Summary The Director of Donor and Community Engagement is a key leadership position responsible for furthering the overall mission of The Arc Caddo-Bossier by recruiting and retaining donors and volunteers, planning and executing fundraising and awareness-building events, and supporting financial stability through comprehensive fundraising initiatives. This role works collaboratively with the Director of Marketing and Communications to build relationships on behalf of the organization, collaborate with other departments, and maintain stewardship with community partners and supporters. Alongside the Chief Executive Officer, the Director designs, implements, and manages activities which include fundraising campaign management, annual giving, planned giving, special projects and events, and grant writing support. The Director is also involved with organizational efforts including marketing, advertising, public service campaigns, public relations strategy and tactics, and corporate communications (both internal and external). (•The Arc Caddo-Bossier Foundation invests funds raised to maximize the mission and ensure financial stability for The Arc.) Supervisory Responsibilities:

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Exceptional relationship management and donor stewardship abilities Strong fundraising strategy development and implementation skills Excellent event planning and coordination capabilities Strong volunteer management and recruitment skills Proficient in CRM systems, particularly Bloomerang Knowledge of IRS regulations and AFP's Code of Fundraising Ethics Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively Understanding of nonprofit fundraising best practices, including annual giving, planned giving, and major gifts Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public relations, or related field from an accredited college or university Three to five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising Demonstrated experience in donor relations, fundraising campaigns, and event management Experience with CRM systems and database management preferred Grant writing experience preferred Agency Expectations of Employee:

Mission Driven, Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Team Player Essential Job Functions Design, implement, and manage comprehensive fundraising initiatives including campaign management, annual giving, planned giving, special projects, and events Coordinate fundraising and awareness-building events on behalf of The Arc Caddo-Bossier and Foundation Recruit, retain, and steward donors through strategic relationship building and personalized engagement Manage the organization's use of CRM system (Bloomerang) to maintain relationships, document interactions, effectively communicate, and ensure accuracy of constituent information Assure all donor acknowledgements and relevant correspondence are completed in a timely and appropriate manner Coordinate efforts with appropriate committees of the Board of Directors and Foundation Trustees Work in partnership with fellow Directors to enhance support for the various projects and programs of The Arc Caddo-Bossier and Foundation Research and recruit potential new funding sources and community partnerships Grow and maintain membership program for The Arc Caddo-Bossier Develop and maintain a planned giving program to support long-term organizational sustainability Manage volunteer program of The Arc Caddo-Bossier, including recruitment, training, placement, and recognition Supports the Chief Executive Officer and our various program directors with grant writing and implementation as needed. Assist the Chief Executive Officer and other leaders with advocacy and government affairs initiatives as needed Ensure that expenses related to donor and community engagement activities/events, and funds raised/revenue generated meet objectives per budget or plan Manage required reporting metrics and provide regular updates on fundraising performance Maintain strict compliance with IRS regulations and adhere to AFP's Code of Fundraising Ethics Foster collaborative relationships with community partners, supporters, and stakeholders to advance organizational mission OSHA Standards Ability to work a standard 40-hour workweek, with flexibility to work evenings and weekend events as needed Ability to travel infrequently as required Ability to sit or stand for long periods Ability to use both hands in fine and gross manipulation of small tools (copier, computer, telephone) Ability to push and pull up to 10 lbs. (file cabinet drawers, computer paper boxes) Ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material Ability to hear and speak well enough to communicate via phone Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds dead weight to move or transfer boxes or documents Ability to retrieve files from bottom shelves/drawers and reach up for items located on top shelves Ability to reach, turn and twist above and below the waist daily to retrieve files or supplies Ability to stand and walk daily to retrieve forms/supplies Ability to spend 90% working time in environment of continuous moderate voices and office machine noise typical for business office atmosphere Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
