Job Description

Join TrueNorth as our Community Liaison & Development Director and play a key role in advancing our mission through meaningful community connections and fundraising leadership. Reporting to the President & CEO, this position leads all fundraising efforts—from annual giving and events to major gifts ($5,000+), planned giving, and capital campaigns. You'll build and manage relationships with donors, community partners, and organizations while developing strategies that grow support and long-term sustainability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thinking strategically, and making a visible impact in the community. You'll collaborate closely with leadership, staff, and the Board of Directors to meet revenue goals, strengthen donor engagement, and expand TrueNorth's reach.
What You'll Do:
Lead and execute fundraising strategies and campaigns Build and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects Oversee events, donor stewardship, and community partnerships Track and manage donor data to ensure accuracy and impact Supervise Development team staff and support organizational goals
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in fundraising and donor development Strong communication and relationship-building skills Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of experience preferred This position is based in Fremont, MI, with occasional evening and weekend events. $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
