Job Description

Are you ready to lead the fundraising strategy that helps children and families overcome today and build a better tomorrow? LFCS is seeking an experienced Director of Development to lead strategic fundraising initiatives that support children and families across the St. Louis region. This is an exciting opportunity to drive major gifts, planned giving, tax credit programs, grants, and special events while working alongside dedicated leadership to advance a mission that changes lives every day. What You ll Do Collaborate with leadership to establish fundraising goals and priorities. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and development strategy in the St. Louis Region. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, sponsors, and community partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation supporters. Lead annual giving campaigns, special events, and grant initiatives as needed. Monitor fundraising performance and prepare reports for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Lead, develop and manage the St. louis Development staff. Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and donor meetings. What We re Looking For Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, ethical standards, planned giving, tax credit programs, and donor stewardship practices. Experience utilizing constituent relationship management (CRM) and donor management systems. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Familiarity with social service programs and nonprofit operations is preferred. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in a related field Minimum of five years of nonprofit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gifts, donor relations, and development initiatives. Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience. Why Join Us?
