... The Development Associate plays a pivotal role in expanding the funding base and advancing the long-term goals of the organization. Reporting to and collaborating with the CEO, this individual is responsible for donor cultivation, corporate relations, prospect research, and the execution of comprehensive development and marketing plans. The ideal candidate will leverage a strong background in relationship-driven sales or nonprofit fundraising to secure major gifts, manage donor data, and champion the organizational brand in the community.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Fundraising Campaign Execution:
Develop, present, and implement strategic development and marketing plans for the organization.
Goal Setting:
Partner with the CEO to establish long-range fundraising goals and objectives that directly support organizational programming.
Campaign Scheduling:
Adhere to a strict fundraising calendar and mailing schedule for donor appeals, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
Event Collaboration:
Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams on special events and targeted fundraising initiatives. 2.
Prospect Research & Donor Relations Donor Cultivation:
Prioritize individual and corporate donor cultivation to steadily expand the financial support network.
Corporate Partnerships:
Identify and build associations with new corporate funding sources, pursuing opportunities for grants, donations, and volunteer hours.
Major Gifts & Solicitations:
Plan solicitation strategies alongside the CEO and petition major gifts from individual, corporate, and foundation prospects.
Prospect Research:
Actively research new financial support channels and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission. 3.
Data Management, Reporting & Brand Identity Records & Compliance:
Accurately record all incoming donations and coordinate prompt, meaningful donor acknowledgments across appropriate publications.
Analytical Reporting:
Collaborate with department members to analyze quarterly and annual fundraising progress against established targets.
Brand Driving:
Foster measurable engagement on social media and websites; create cohesive marketing brochures, displays, and presentation materials.
Public Representation:
Represent the organization in a professional, positive, and courteous manner at public functions, networking events, and community initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of successful sales or relationship-building experience.
- Documented success developing high-level relationships and consistently achieving annual goals.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and development strategies for a large nonprofit organization.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to craft compelling fundraising narratives.
- Advanced facilitation, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and specialized donor contact database programs.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
