( DAEF )IS SEEKING A DYNAMIC AND ENTREPRENEURIAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR ENGAGING COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS TO SUPPORT AND ENHANCE THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE. POSITION OVERVIEW
Serving as the primary point of contact for all Foundation programs, the Executive Director will focus heavily on fundraising, donor stewardship, and community engagement. This individual will collaborate with Foundation officers and volunteers to achieve annual budgetary goals, execute strategic initiatives, and serve as the face of the Foundation within the Dallastown community.EMPLOYMENT & APPLICATION DETAILS
Type:
Part-time Independent Contractor (flexible schedule with remote capability).Compensation:
Annual Salary of $30,000 payable in quarterly installments of $7,500 each. Monthly reimbursement for pre-approved expenses.Evaluation:
A 90-day introductory review will be conducted, followed by annual performance evaluations.Application:

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Nonprofit Management, Development, Sales, or Marketing.Experience:
Proven track record in fundraising or business development. Experience in event planning and grant writing is highly desirable.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in standard software systems, donor databases, and graphic design.Attributes:
High energy, self-motivation, and ability to work independently. Excellent written and public speaking skills are essential.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Fundraising & Development (50%)Annual Campaign:
Lead and execute the annual giving campaign to fund operating costs, grants, and scholarships.Donor Stewardship:
Manage the donor database; oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, and ongoing "thank you" protocols.Major Gifts & Planned Giving:
Research and identify potential major donors, including alumni, corporations, and private foundations. Develop strategies for immediate high-level gifts and long-term legacy giving.Grant Writing:
Coordinate and author grant proposals and endowment requests for corporate and private sector funding.Special Events:
Provide oversight, collaborate with committees' leadership, and provide organizational support for fundraising events. 2. Public Relations & Community Engagement (25%)Marketing & Communications:
Collaborate with the Board and committees' leadership to produce brochures, newsletters, press releases, and digital content (website/social media) that champion the Foundation's mission.Advocacy:
Act as the primary spokesperson, making presentations to the School Board, PTOs, local businesses, and civic clubs to increase visibility and support.Alumni Relations:
Assist the Board in developing a robust Alumni Association in order to enhance contributions and to foster long-term loyalty. 3. Administration & Operations (15%)Financial Management:
Collaborate with officers to monitor financial statements, develop the annual budget, and prepare data for annual audits and tax filings.Technology:
Maintain and recommend software systems to streamline operations.Compliance:
Maintain official records in collaboration with officers. 4. Board Relations & Strategic Planning (10%)Strategic Vision:
Support the ongoing development and execution of the Foundation's multi-year strategic plan and annual action goals.Board Support:
