About the Organization and Museum The American Air Museum in Britain (AAMB) is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) that commemorates the pivotal role of air power in preserving freedom by connecting generations to stories of heroism and aircraft that have shaped history. It is our vision to be an enduring monument and education hub that honors ingenuity, courage, and sacrifice from the First World War to today. The American Air Museum (AAM), in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, UK, tells the story of the people whose lives were shaped by American airpower through the present day, while illustrating the importance of global alliances. Position Overview The Annual Giving Manager, reporting to the Chief of Staff, is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive direct marketing and membership strategy. In this role, you will be expected to lead and implement multi-channel donor appeal and acquisition campaigns to include direct mail, email, social media channels, and digital giving efforts. You will work closely with the team to help identify major donor prospects and help move them up the giving ladder through personalized annual giving strategies. This key role will have the opportunity to build and deploy a high performing annual giving strategy, which will expand the reach of our vital mission.

AAMB will not sponsor employment visas or consider candidates residing outside of the U.S. Objectives Increase the number of museum supporters and donor retention Increase dollars raised through the annual giving and membership programs Strategically grow the museum's direct mail and digital fundraising programs Market and track the museum's online store and special programmingResponsibilities Summary:
In this role, you will lead annual giving and membership efforts through direct mail, digital fundraising, donor communications, and data informed methods. Primary responsibilities include annual giving strategy, donor acquisition and retention, membership growth, and multi-channel fundraising campaigns. Additional responsibilities include reporting, vendor management, and support for special initiatives.Direct Marketing Strategy Development:
Create and execute a comprehensive direct marketing and membership plan Develop strategies to increase annual revenue through active engagement Set measurable objectives for direct marketing campaigns and initiatives Monitor program performance and execute changes to improve results Develop and maintain an ongoing communications calendar for the organization Identify and engage lapsed donors and new audiences to become supporters Provide intentional opportunities for donors to increase their gift frequencyData Analysis and Segmentation:
Collaborate with staff to manage the donor database, perform database hygiene, and analyze data regarding annual giving programs and past giving trends for future segmentation Use data analytics to refine direct marketing efforts and tailor messages to specific audience segments Use the donor database to pull needed information for direct marketing campaigns (e.g. mailing lists, member lists, etc.)Content Creation and Distribution:
Develop compelling content and educational materials to engage varied audiences (e.g. mailed appeals, newsletters, emails, socials, podcasts, videos) Coordinate content distribution to ensure consistent messaging and branding Collaborate with museum curator to highlight museum collections and stories Serve as the day-to-day contact with direct mail and production vendors Administer all direct mail and membership renewal projects, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveryFiduciary Management and Reporting:
Prepare impact reports on all annual giving activity Develop and manage the annual giving and direct marketing budget Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives Seek cost-effective ways to maximize reach and impact Other duties as assignedQualifications:
5+ years of non-profit direct response fundraising experience Strong communication and project management skills Experience using CRM databases and fundraising platforms Valid passport required. International travel to the UK may be needed. Occasional domestic travel to meet with team members, vendors, and consultants may also be requiredRequired Skills:
Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to present data to varied audiences Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing concurrent tasks and responsibilities Ability to managing changing priorities Ability to meet established fundraising and membership goals Ability to develop excellent working relationships Advanced level with Microsoft suite of products Success in executing an organization's voice and value proposition Content development experience across varied platformsPreferences :
Experience with Raiser's Edge, MailChimp, Canva, Adobe, Omatic Cloud, Monday.com Experience managing social media for a non-profit Degree in history or experience with historical research Writing successful donor/member appeals Experience working with and coordinating volunteersWhat Sets You Apart:

This is a full-time exempt position with a 32-hour workweek. Salary range is $60,000 - $66,560 annually, based on experience.The AAMB benefits package includes:
vacation and sick leave; health insurance; dental and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; IRA; phone/internet stipend; 11 paid holidays/year. AAMB will provide a laptop and other necessary hardware to carry out the functions of the position. This is a fully remote position; selected candidate must reside in one of the states outlined above. Position is open until filled. Submissions will be reviewed on demand.
