Description Dallas Pets Alive is one of the fastest-growing animal welfare organizations in North Texas, working to create a more compassionate, innovative, and sustainable future for pets and the people who love them. Over the past several years, DPA has expanded dramatically in both impact and reach, growing lifesaving programs, integrating Dogs Matter and the Humane Society of Dallas County, and developing innovative community-based initiatives that are changing the way animal welfare is approached in our region. We are entering an exciting next chapter of growth and are looking for a Development Director who is energized by the opportunity to help build what comes next. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This is not a "maintain the status quo" development role. This is an opportunity to help shape and grow the fundraising engine of a rapidly evolving organization making a real impact in North Texas. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on fundraiser who is excited to build, create, connect, and lead. The ideal candidate is both visionary and execution-focused, someone who can think big while also rolling up their sleeves to make things happen. You'll work closely with the CEO, Board, staff, volunteers, and community partners to grow sustainable funding that supports and expands DPA's lifesaving mission.
SALARY/PAY RATE
Full-time. Commensurate with experience.

THIS ROLE IS IDEAL FOR SOMEONE WHO
Loves relationship building and storytelling Is energized by growth and change Wants to help scale a mission-driven organization Is motivated by impact, not just metrics Sees fundraising as community-building, not just asking for money Brings at least 3 years minimum experience in professional development work for a similar animal welfare or related non-profit or foundation and a CFRE certification

NON-NEGOTIABLES
A bachelor's degree Must have donor CRM and Google suite experience and be proficient or able to easily learn current technology in relation to communication, marketing and CRM's. Must have experience with current marketing tools such as social media platforms and MailChimp This is a virtual position but must be local within the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex Must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or business(es) related to animal welfare
