Development Intern Description:
We are seeking a Development Intern to assist with our fundraising efforts as we expand ourmunity programming within the US.
Job Title:
Development Intern
Location:
Remote / Hybrid (Boston, MA preferred)
Duration:
Minimum 4 monthmitment, 10-20 hours per week; flexible start and end dates
Compensation:
Stipend available / College credit optional Interns at SL2 will gain a general understanding of the operations of non-profitanizations as well as the important role development plays in the success of every non-profitanization by having a hands-on role in fundraising, grant research, and donor cultivation initiatives. Interns will report directly to the SL2 Impact Program Manager. Responsibilities Individual Fundraising Prospective donor research Maintain donor database Assist in donor cultivation efforts Assist with annual giving campaigns Institutional Fundraising Prospective institutional funder research Maintain grant application calendar Assist with writing grant applications Assist with writing grant reports Assist with developing appropriate fundraising materialsOther duties as needed
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Exceptional writing and storytelling skills Wellanized with the ability to multitask Excellentmunication skills andfortable initiating conversations or the starting a relationship Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diversemunity groups, individuals, andanizations Independent and proactive with a self-starter attitude Interest / experience in non-profitanizations and/or start-ups Passionate about buildingmunity and social impact
