Company Description Prelude Ministries is a nonprofit ministry that provides state-of-the-art spiritual, emotional, and practical support to seniors, especially those with dementia, and their caregivers. Our services include Christian spiritual care, family and community support systems, and practical support. As industry leaders, we specialize in spiritual care services for seniors with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease and other memory loss conditions. Our vision and mission to be able to provide spiritual care to memory care and assisted living communities that lack this support at no cost to the facility or to the residents and their families. Role Description Prelude Ministries exists to ensure that every elder in senior care hears the Gospel before they die. We place pastors inside senior care facilities — not occasionally, but daily — building relationships that create the conditions for real Gospel conversations and real transformation. This role is not traditional nonprofit fundraising. This is r elationship-driven, Gospel-centered fundraising. The Development Manager is responsible for building relationships with donors that lead to meaningful investment in the mission. The core responsibility is to turn conversations into donors. You will be a part of the Ministry Executive Team. Primary Duties •
Donor Conversations:
Conducting 15 qualified donor conversations/week with focus on understanding, identifying alignment, and building trust. •
Prospect Development:
Identifying and engaging prospects through relationships, supportive families, referrals, and database managing a pipeline of 1500+ prospects. •
Cultivation & Relationship Building:
Follow up consistently with donors and inviting donors to visit ministry locations, speak with pastors, and expose them to impactful testimony. •
Solicitation:
Make clear and direct ask through major gifts ($5k-$10k+) and recurring support. Target to be raised is at least $150k annually. •
Ownership:
Own a portfolio of donor relationships end-to-end: first contact to ongoing relationships and no dropped follow-ups. Assign donors to the rest of spiritual care team and support their relationships. •
Story Capture:
Capture and document transformation stories and donor-relevant moments. Securing and sharing at least 4 usable stories per month through website and social media platforms. Qualifications Some college required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Fundraising experience preferred. Driven by the
