Full-Time Position Summary:
The Director of Development is responsible for leading the Ryan Shazier Fund's fundraising strategy with a primary focus on donor relationships, major gifts, and corporate partnerships to grow revenue and expand impact. This is a highly external, donor-facing role. The Director serves as a primary ambassador of the organization, building meaningful relationships and securing philanthropic investments through a proactive and strategic approach. 40 hours/week Fully remote position - great for work/life balance!!
Salary Range:
$80k-90k
Key Responsibilities:
Dedicate 60-70% of time to donor-facing activities, including meetings, calls, and relationship management. Manage and grow a portfolio of 75-125 donors and prospects through proactive relationship building and stewardship Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift opportunities Lead and grow the organization's Major Gifts Program (Shalieve Society) Develop and execute strategies to increase donor retention, upgrade giving levels, diversify funding streams, and expand the donor base Build and manage corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities aligned with the organization's mission Drive fundraising revenue across individual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, campaigns, and grants Partner closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors on fundraising strategy and donor engagement Oversee donor pipeline management and maintain accurate donor records using DonorPerfect Collaborate on donor communications, fundraising campaigns, newsletters, and impact storytelling Serve as the primary coordinator for grant management, including funder relationships, applications, reporting, and deadlines Track fundraising performance, analyze donor data, and adjust strategies to maximize results

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in related field 5 or more years of professional experience in fund development Tangible experience building and strengthening long-term donor relationships and fundraising engagement Experience growing a nonprofit organization's social media presence and online outreach Strong proficiency with DonorPerfect and Microsoft 365 applications, with the ability to quickly learn new software tools Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Comfortable working with diverse communities, stakeholders, and staff Growth-minded, adaptable, and eager to collaborate and contribute to organizational success Act 33/34 will be required Valid driver's license
