This role develops and implements a comprehensive fundraising program that includes individual giving, grants, memberships, sponsorships and donor relations and stewardship. Working closely with leadership, the Director drives strategic development efforts.
Design and execute overarching fundraising strategies to meet organizational revenue goals; lead donor cultivation, support corporate sponsorship fulfillment, and creative revenue-generating initiatives in partnership with the Executive Director.
Connoisseur Membership Program Management:
Own all aspects of the Connoisseur membership program, including recruitment, renewals, engagement strategies, benefits delivery, and growth; develop and implement data-driven initiatives to increase membership retention and upgrades.
Donor Relations & Stewardship:
Build, maintain, and elevate strategic relationships with individual donors and corporate sponsors; oversee ongoing communication, recognition systems, and experiential engagement to ensure long-term retention.
Grant Writing & Strategic Management:
Research, write, and submit highly competitive grant applications; manage comprehensive grant reporting, compliance, and strict timelines; track strategic outcomes and foster deep relationships with funding organizations.
Sponsorship Coordination & Support:
Support the Executive Director to secure high-value sponsorships.
Campaign Coordination:
Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Communications team to plan and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns, membership promotions, and donor communications; ensure absolute alignment across organizational messaging and timing.
Event Fundraising Support:
Direct and maximize revenue-generating components of organization events, donor engagement activations, and membership drives; does not manage day-to-day event logistics.
Volunteer Program Management:
Strategically recruit, train, schedule, and support the organizational volunteer network; oversee volunteer communication systems, engagement, appreciation, and retention efforts to ensure adequate professional staffing for programs and major events. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related field Proven experience in donor relations, membership programs, or sponsorship coordination Strong grant writing and grant management experience required Experience working with CRM systems and donor databases Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to manage multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously Non-profit experience preferred Skills & Traits Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills Excellent written communication, particularly in donor-facing materials and grant writing Results-oriented with a focus on revenue growth and retention Highly organized and detail-oriented Self-motivated and able to manage deadlines independently Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven nonprofit environment
