About E.L.I.'s House E.L.I.'s House is a Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women to transform their lives. Our two-year residential program provides a holistic approach to healing and growth, tailored to meet the unique needs of each woman and her children (ages 9 and younger). At E.L.I's House, we focus on helping women become healthier moms and aim for family reunification if custody has been lost. Our program also includes parental coaching and support, fostering a nurturing environment for both mothers and their children. On-Site at E.L.I.'s House Overview This is a growth-oriented role designed for someone who has a foundation in development or nonprofit work and is ready to take on greater responsibility with guidance. The Development Associate will work closely with the Founder/CEO to support and grow E.L.I.'s House's fundraising efforts across individual giving, corporate partnerships, communications, and events. Over time, this person is expected to grow into a lead development professional for the organization. Key Responsibilities This role has a broad scope. In the early months, the Development Associate will work in close coordination with the Founder/CEO to learn the organization's donor relationships and development priorities. Over time, increasing ownership and independence is expected in each of the following areas: Fund Development Support the development and implementation of annual and multi-year fundraising plans Learn to research, identify, and prioritize prospective donors and funding sources Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in E.L.I.'s House's donor database Individual Giving Help build and manage relationships with individual donors under the guidance of leadership Support donor cultivation activities including visits, calls, and written outreach Assist in preparing materials and briefings to support leadership in major gift solicitations Track donor interactions and maintain pipeline data in the organization's CRM Corporate Giving Support the identification of new corporate prospects with help from board members and the Founder/CEO Assist in cultivating corporate partnerships through outreach, tours, and relationship touchpoints Help manage corporate partnership renewals and stewardship on an annual basis Communications, Marketing & Public Relations Collaborate with the Founder/CEO on donor communications and agency visibility Draft and refine written materials including newsletters, fundraising appeals, and impact reports Support the production of agency publications such as the annual report and fundraising brochures Gather and share donor-facing stories and impact statistics that reflect the work of E.L.I.'s House Represent the organization at public events as needed; serve as backup media spokesperson in the absence of the Founder/CEO Website & Social Media Provide fundraising-relevant content for the E.L.I.'s House website and manage donor-facing pages Oversee day-to-day social media activity in alignment with the organization's brand and voice Develop and support social media campaigns that communicate the mission and drive donor engagement Community Engagement Attend community events and proactively cultivate relationships with local leaders, funders, and supporters Join relevant committees or groups to advance E.L.I.'s House's fundraising goals Volunteer Engagement Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to involve volunteers in fundraising and mission-support activities Communicate with and support volunteers to deepen their understanding of E.L.I.'s House's mission Special Events Play a key supporting role in the organization's signature August Event, including coordinating with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers Assist with corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, auction coordination, and in-kind donor stewardship Support the planning and execution of small cultivation and stewardship events for donors Database Management Assist in maintaining accurate donor records, tracking giving history, and generating development reports Foundation Fundraising Work with the grant writer and Founder/CEO to understand and support foundation funding strategies Qualifications and Skills Professional Requirements Deep faith in and abiding walk with Christ, with an understanding of Biblical principles of hope, healing, and redemption A growing spiritual life, with a desire to bring honor and glory to the Lord at E.L.I.'s House and beyond Respect for clients and sensitivity to trauma-informed approaches Genuine commitment to social justice and the anti-trafficking movement Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred Experience with the Tennessee philanthropic, business, or government community is a plus but not required Skills and Competencies 1-2 years of experience in a development, fundraising, or related nonprofit support role Strong written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Relationship-building ability and a warm, professional presence with donors and community members Curiosity and coachability — willingness to learn development best practices and grow quickly Comfort with Google Workspace, and openness to learning CRM/database tools and AI-assisted fundraising Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Growth Path E.L.I.'s House is investing in this role as a long-term development position. The person hired will have the opportunity to grow into a senior development leadership role as they demonstrate results and deepen their expertise. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
