Job Description
River Oaks Baptist School is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven leader to serve as our ROBS Fund Manager. This position is ideal for a fundraising professional who is passionate about Christian education and advancing the mission of River Oaks Baptist School through philanthropy and meaningful donor engagement.
The ROBS Fund Manager provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the School's annual giving program, The ROBS Fund. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive fundraising strategies that advance the School's philanthropic goals, increase donor participation, and cultivate lasting relationships with parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of the School.
The ROBS Fund Manager leads all aspects of the annual fund campaign, including donor cultivation and stewardship, volunteer leadership, campaign communications, fundraising events, data analysis, reporting, and budget management. The position also partners with volunteer leaders to inspire broad community engagement and build a strong culture of philanthropy throughout the School.
Working collaboratively with the Director of Development, Associate Head of School for Advancement, Advancement Council, and other school leaders, the ROBS Fund Manager exercises sound judgment and independent decision-making to develop and execute strategies that achieve annual fundraising objectives and support the School's long-term advancement goals.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the ROBS Fund Manager collaborates closely with the Development Office, Advancement Council, faculty, staff, volunteers, and school leadership to strengthen philanthropic support and advance the mission and vision of River Oaks Baptist School.
Key Responsibilities:
Annual Fund Strategy and Campaign Management
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive strategies to achieve annual fundraising goals for The ROBS Fund.
Create and update annual campaign marketing materials, volunteer resources, solicitation tools, and training materials.
Collaborate with the Director of Development and Director of Communications & Marketing to develop and execute annual fundraising communication plans across multiple constituent groups.
Analyze campaign performance throughout the year and recommend strategic adjustments to improve participation, donor retention, and overall fundraising results.
Manage The ROBS Fund budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure responsible stewardship of departmental resources.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship
Develop, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of approximately 60 assigned donors using strategic relationship management practices.
Build and maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of the School.
Identify opportunities to increase donor participation and philanthropic support through personalized engagement strategies.
Coordinate stewardship activities that recognize donor generosity and encourage continued investment in the School.
Volunteer Leadership
Recruit, train, equip, and support volunteer campaign leadership, including Fund Chairs and Grade Level Captains.
Provide ongoing coaching and communication to volunteer leaders throughout each campaign.
Coordinate volunteer participation in board meetings, parent seminars, and other campaign-related presentations and solicitations.
Partner with volunteer leadership to develop constituency-specific fundraising strategies and communications.
Data Management, Reporting, and Analysis
Maintain accurate donor and volunteer information within Raiser's Edge, including campaign assignments, volunteer roles, and reporting queries.
Generate and analyze weekly fundraising reports and key performance indicators for the Director of Development, Associate Head of School for Advancement, Head of School, Advancement Committee Chair, and campaign leadership.
Prepare reports tracking participation rates, leadership giving, new family giving, donor retention, and other campaign metrics to inform fundraising strategy and decision-making.
Prepare comprehensive year-end campaign summaries and analyses.
Events and Donor Engagement
Provide strategic oversight for donor stewardship events, including the Cornerstone Dinner and 1955 Society events, in partnership with the Development Associate.
Support Development Office events and represent the department at Alumni Board meetings and other advancement activities.
Assist in gathering stories, photographs, donor information, and impact data for the School's annual Report of Appreciation and other donor recognition materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
At least three years of progressively responsible fundraising, annual giving, development, or nonprofit advancement experience.
Experience managing fundraising campaigns, donor relationships, volunteer leadership, and special events.
Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar constituent relationship management (CRM) software.
A vibrant Christian faith and a desire to work in a Christian environment, modeling the school's values and commitment to supporting the mission and values of River Oaks Baptist School.
Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and annual giving best practices.
Strong strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize competing responsibilities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a wide variety of constituents.
Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and training skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret fundraising data and recommend strategic improvements.
Experience recruiting, training, and motivating volunteers.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Successful completion of background checks and verification
