Required, as needed for donor meetings Position Summary The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) is a frontline fundraising professional responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors in support of the Cirque Lodge Foundation's mission to remove financial barriers to exceptional treatment and lasting recovery through scholarship funding. This role focuses on direct donor engagement and solicitation, including in-person meetings and major gift asks. The MGO plays a critical role in expanding major gift revenue, strengthening donor relationships, and supporting the Foundation's long-term sustainability. This role requires the ability to engage confidently with high-capacity donors and to represent the Foundation with credibility, discretion, and professionalism. Primary Responsibilities Major Donor Fundraising Manage and grow a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors Conduct in-person, virtual, and phone meetings with donors as well as maintain communication in multiple formats Prepare and confidently make direct major gift solicitations ($10,000+), including proposal development, presentation, and closing Travel as needed to meet with donors and prospects Cultivation & Stewardship Build authentic, long-term donor relationships grounded in trust and transparency Develop personalized stewardship plans aligned with donor interests and Foundation priorities Ensure timely, thoughtful follow-up after donor meetings and gifts Represent the Foundation professionally and with integrity to donors and the broader community. Strategy & Collaboration Align donor interests with funding priorities including scholarships, endowment, and special initiatives Identify new major gift prospects through research, referrals, and relationship building. Support Board members in donor engagement and fundraising efforts, as appropriate Partner with the Director, Board members, and key volunteers on donor strategy and solicitations, including preparation for peer-to-peer donor engagement when appropriate. Tracking & Accountability Maintain accurate donor records, contact reports, and moves management activity in the CRM Track progress toward revenue goals and donor engagement benchmarks Provide regular updates and reporting to the Director and Board Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience preferred, with demonstrated, proven success in major gift solicitation and closing; candidates with fewer years but exceptional results are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated track record of securing, stewarding and closing significant gifts, with clear examples of outcomes achieved. Experience or familiarity with substance use disorder treatment, mental health, or adjacent healthcare philanthropy preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills Comfortable representing an organization to high-net-worth donors Willingness and flexibility to travel Experience working with Boards and senior leadership Compensation Salary range: $80,000
