Fund Development Associate La Casa De Las Madres - 4.2 San Francisco, CA Job Details Full-time $28.00 - $30.50 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description The Development Associate will be responsible for managing the grant calendar, crafting compelling funding proposals, and ensuring our donor database is updated. He/She will bridge the gap between our programs and the funding that makes them possible. Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible for: Researching, monitoring, and identifying new foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities. Writing compelling, evidence-based grant proposals, letters of intent, and regular compliance reports for foundations and corporate donors. Collaborating with case management and program teams to gather accurate, non-identifying data for grant reporting. Maintaining a master grant calendar to ensure zero missed deadlines for proposals and compliance reports. Writing clear, timely progress reports demonstrating how grant funding directly supported clients. Serving as the primary on-site point of contact for community groups dropping off essential items (e.g., food, diapers, clothing) for clients. Organizing and maintaining an inventory of incoming in-kind donations to ensure emergency supplies are ready for distribution. Providing vital on-the-ground support for local fundraising events, donor visits, and community awareness campaigns. Working collaboratively with program and administrative staff to gather stories, data, and content for development efforts, ensuring a high degree of confidentiality. Preparing and maintaining donor retention and giving trend reports for the development team Other duties and special projects as assigned Knowledge and Competencies Superb storytelling and writing skills to communicate the mission and goals of the organization clearly and effectively to potential donors and stakeholders. Ability to research and analyze data to identify potential donors, draft successful grant proposals, and keep up with industry trends and best practices. Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks under pressure. Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative fundraising ideas that will capture the attention and interest of potential donors. Experience working with non-profit donor databases and proficient in MS Office. Physical and Logistics Requirements Ability to use all standard office equipment. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of incoming donations and event supplies. Sit or stand comfortably, and have the ability to navigate throughout office spaces. Reliable transportation required for local travel related to events, donor visits, and off-site meetings. Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full Time - 40 hours
