Salary range:
$63,851-$97,053 commensurate with experience It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
JOB SUMMARY
The Grants Officer works closely with the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning and the Director of Grants and Program Development on grant seeking and award administration, primarily for public sources. With responsibilities across the pre- to post-award cycle, this position supports program, grants, and finance teams in developing and maintaining a sizable and diversified funding portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares all components of new and renewal funding applications in compliance with solicitation requirements Writes clear, concise, and compelling narratives that are responsive to solicitations Assists with collecting information - through interviews, desk research, and other means - to support funding applications and reports Formats a variety of documents and data to support grant applications and reports Uses project management tools and practices to ensure all grant process deadlines are met Uses shared workspace tools and databases to complete and track work, as directed Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience required.
EXPERIENCE A
minimum of two to three years of demonstrated effectiveness in a writing-focused position
Senior Officer:
A minimum of five to seven years Excellent written and oral communicator, with strong writing, editing, numeracy, and proofreading skills Proven track record of securing grants for nonprofit organizations preferred
Senior Officer:
A minimum of four to five years years of demonstrated success in nonprofit grant writing Experience working both independently and as part of cross-functional teams Accomplished project manager with meticulous attention to detail and excellent research and analytical skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Capacity to build constructive work relationships and incorporate cross-cultural sensitivity Comfortable in a fast-paced, small team environment
