Full-Time About Us Big Dog Ranch Rescue (BDRR) is a nationally recognized dog rescue organization located on a 33-acre, cage-free, climate-controlled campus in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our development team is growing, and we are seeking a Grant-Focused Development Officer to lead all aspects of grant strategy, cultivation, and reporting. Position Summary The Grant Writer will focus exclusively on grant writing, knowledge in instrumentl grants, and donor reporting. This position works closely with the Vice President of Development, and the CEO to: Research and identify new grant opportunities Write compelling proposals for foundations, corporate sponsors, and government funding Manage grant reporting, compliance, and stewardship Track and report progress toward the annual $250,000 grant goal Potential for a performance bonus upon achieving or exceeding the annual goal Key focus areas: instrumentl grants, multi-year foundation funding, and database management in Raiser's Edge NXT. Key Responsibilities Research, identify, and prioritize instrumental grant opportunities Prepare, submit, and track proposals for foundations, corporate partners, and government agencies Maintain all grant records, deadlines, and reports in Raiser's Edge NXT Develop compelling grant narratives, budgets, and supporting documents Monitor awarded grants, prepare impact reports, and ensure compliance with funder requirements Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to align grant funding with organizational priorities Maintain and grow relationships with funders to secure multi-year commitments Provide regular reporting on grant progress toward the $250,000 goal Participate in donor stewardship and funding strategy discussions Qualifications Minimum 2 years of grant writing experience Proven track record securing significant foundation, corporate, or government funding Experience using Raiser's Edge NXT or similar CRM systems Strong writing, editing, and budgeting skills Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines under pressure Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Passion for animal welfare and BDRR's mission a huge plus Additional Requirements Ability to work full-time on-site at BDRR in Loxahatchee Groves, FL Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for fundraiser events Compensation & Incentives $60,000 - $65,000 base salary Opportunity for performance bonus upon achieving or exceeding grant goals Paid Time Off (PTO) 50% coverage of lowest-cost health insurance plan Vision, dental, and life insurance policies 401(K) Employee discount Mission-driven work with a passionate team Why Join BDRR?
