Director of Resource Development

Director of Resource Development Compensation:

$70,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui Maui, Hawaiʻi Help Strengthen Opportunities for Maui's Youth Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui is seeking an organized, collaborative, and mission-driven Director of Resource Development to lead and coordinate the organization's resource development efforts in support of Maui's youth and families. This position has primary responsibility for grant processes, including research, proposal coordination, submission tracking, deliverables, reporting requirements, and funding compliance. The role also supports broader resource development efforts including fundraising coordination, campaigns, oversight/support of special events, marketing coordination, and community outreach activities. The Director of Resource Development works closely with leadership, program staff, finance, community partners, donors, and funders to strengthen philanthropic support and organizational sustainability across Maui County. Essential Job Responsibilities Resource Development & Grants Management Research and identify grant opportunities, sponsorships, and funding sources aligned with organizational priorities and program needs Coordinate grant proposal development, submission timelines, supporting documentation, forms, budgets, deliverables, and reporting requirements Work collaboratively with program staff and leadership to gather narratives, data, budgets, outcomes, attachments, and supporting materials for grant proposals and reports Ensure grant submissions, reports, and supporting documentation are accurate, timely, complete, and compliant with funder requirements Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Programs, and Leadership regarding budgets, grant allocations, staffing information, reporting requirements, and compliance matters Maintain grant calendars, tracking systems, development files, donor records, and reporting schedules Monitor grant deliverables, reporting deadlines, and funding compliance requirements Fundraising & Development Support Support fundraising coordination, sponsorship efforts, campaigns, and donor stewardship activities Assist with donor acknowledgment letters, impact updates, and development-related communications Help support donor cultivation and community relationship-building efforts as needed Assist with strengthening development systems, fundraising infrastructure, and organizational visibility Events, Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinate and support development-related special events and campaigns Assist with marketing coordination, outreach activities, and community engagement efforts Represent BGCM professionally with community partners, funders, sponsors, and stakeholders Collaboration & Leadership Work collaboratively across departments to support organizational goals and funding priorities Support and coordinate development-related volunteers, interns, contractors, or staff as assigned Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail in all aspects of the role 3-5 years of experience in grants management, nonprofit development, fundraising coordination, resource development, marketing, administration, or related work Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, grant portals, and reporting systems preferred Experience coordinating grants, funding compliance, reporting timelines, and development processes preferred Bachelor's degree preferred Strong writing, editing, organizational, communication, and project management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, projects, and reporting requirements simultaneously Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation Ability to work collaboratively with staff, leadership, community partners, and funders Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and online systems Commitment to the mission of supporting youth and strengthening communities Additional Information Full-time exempt position Some evening and weekend events may be required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
